Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Italian summer transfer window in Rimini, Ludi was asked about Catanzaro midfielder Mattia Liberali, who has recently been linked with a move to Como.
"Liberali is an excellent Italian talent.
"He is a very interesting prospect, a player Italian football should work with and be proud of."
Ludi stopped short of confirming negotiations but refused to dismiss the possibility of future interest.
"I cannot predict the future. I can only say he is a player of great talent.
The sporting director was also asked about Fiorentina defender Pietro Comuzzo but suggested he is not currently a transfer target.
"Comuzzo is an excellent player. He has had two very interesting seasons in Serie A, but today he is not on our radar."
Ludi added that Como will continue to follow head coach Cesc Fàbregas' recruitment philosophy rather than focusing exclusively on domestic players.
"It will depend on the opportunities the market offers. If Italian opportunities arise, we will gladly take them. If interesting opportunities come from elsewhere in Europe or the rest of the world, we will evaluate those as well."
One player Como appear determined to keep is Croatia international Martin Baturina.
The attacking midfielder established himself in Cesc Fàbregas' side after initially finding opportunities difficult to come by, eventually earning regular minutes alongside Nico Paz.
According to reports in Italy, Aston Villa, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur have all made enquiries about the former Dinamo Zagreb playmaker.
Those reports also claim Como have rejected offers worth up to €55 million and would only consider discussions at around €80 million.
Baturina made 34 appearances last season, scoring eight goals after joining Como in the summer of 2025, and the club are reportedly determined to retain one of the key figures in Fàbregas' long-term project despite mounting interest from Europe's leading clubs.
