Como are pushing hard to sign Fiorentina striker Moise Kean, but the club is also weighing up a move for AZ Alkmaar's prolific forward Troy Parrott too.

A meeting between Como and Fiorentina is set to take place between Monday and Tuesday as the two clubs try to find common ground, according to TMW. Head coach Cesc Fabregas rates Kean highly and is hunting for a proven centre-forward to round out his attack ahead of Como's historic first season in the Champions League.

Fiorentina have made clear Kean is not untouchable but will only sanction a sale for an offer in the region of โ‚ฌ40-45m, a figure Como have been informed of and are still assessing, alongside the question of Kean's wages, which currently sit at around โ‚ฌ5m a season and which Como would like to negotiate down.

The Kean pursuit follows an earlier attempt by Fiorentina sporting director Fabio Paratici to beat Roma to Bologna's Santiago Castro, offering the striker a higher salary than Roma were proposing โ€” an approach that ultimately failed when Castro chose to join Gian Piero Gasperini's project instead. That has pushed Fiorentina to line up Parma's Mateo Pellegrino as a replacement should Kean depart.

Kean is not the only forward on Como's list, however. Fabregas and the club's hierarchy also admire Troy Parrott, who scored 31 goals in all competitions for AZ Alkmaar last season. According to talkSPORT, the Irish striker has also attracted interest from PSV, Real Betis and Ajax, meaning Como will need to move quickly and decisively if they want to beat that competition to his signature.

Both Kean, 26, and Parrott, 24, would represent significant investment for a Como side determined to compete on two fronts this season, though it remains unclear whether the club intends to pursue both forwards or ultimately choose between them depending on how the Fiorentina talks progress.

Kean signed a new four-year deal at Fiorentina last year that included a release clause reported at โ‚ฌ62m, having enjoyed a standout debut season in Florence with 25 goals in all competitions.

Parrott, for his part, is under contract at AZ until 2029 and has continued to build on that form for the Republic of Ireland, having inspired their playoff qualification for the World Cup with a hat-trick against Hungary and a double against Portugal last November.

Como's ability to land either forward may ultimately come down to speed as much as valuation, given the level of competition circling both targets.
