Carnevali, Juventus' chief executive and general manager since June, gave an update on the club's transfer business while speaking on the sidelines of a La Stampa event in Courmayeur, touching on both the club's pursuit of two forwards and the ongoing Dusan Vlahovic situation.
Carnevali confirmed that Juventus are working to finalise deals for PSG striker Kolo Muani and Bayer Leverkusen's Alajbegovic.
"We're finalising the contractual agreements with both of them. They're not signed yet, the negotiations are moving forward and we hope to have them available to Spalletti as soon as possible," he said.
Asked whether a new goalkeeper was also on the agenda, Carnevali indicated the club's priority lay elsewhere for now.
"For now we're focused on the two forwards, then we'll see."
He struck a similar tone when asked about defensive reinforcements, suggesting Juventus were still weighing their options before committing to fresh business at the back.
"We're evaluating it, we need to let some players leave but also strengthen the squad. We'll make the right assessments — the group is coming together and then we'll understand what we need to do in the coming days."
On Vlahovic, whose future at the club has been the subject of persistent speculation, Carnevali was direct in explaining that no contact had taken place between the two parties.
"I've never met him, I know Juve made him an offer but it wasn't accepted. It's very simple. I'm not someone who goes chasing players when there are tempting offers on the table. I've always made myself available to speak with his agents too, but I repeat, I've never met him."
Carnevali took over at Juventus at the end of June, succeeding Damien Comolli after eight years building Sassuolo into one of Serie A's most respected clubs for player development and financial sustainability.
He has previously acknowledged inheriting a market situation that was less advanced than press reports had suggested when he arrived, and has spoken of needing to repair Juventus' relationship with Paris Saint-Germain — the club that sold Kolo Muani to Juventus on loan last season — after what he described as previous communication issues between the two clubs.
