League Two Fleetwood Town have been handed a dream tie against Premier League champions Arsenal in the Carabao Cup fourth round, the standout pairing from Wednesday's draw.
Matt Lawlor's side reached the last 16 for the first time in their history by beating Championship opposition Sheffield United 1-0 in the third round, having also seen off Chesterfield and Shrewsbury Town earlier in the competition. Arsenal progressed with a 4-2 win at Ipswich Town on Tuesday, and the two sides will meet for the first time in competitive action at Fleetwood's Highbury Stadium.
Elsewhere, the draw produced five all-Premier League ties. Liverpool will host Chelsea, setting up a first return to Anfield for Blues boss Xabi Alonso, who won the Champions League with Liverpool as a player before being linked with the Anfield job ahead of his move to Stamford Bridge.
Everton were drawn at home to Newcastle United after their narrow win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Aston Villa travel to Bournemouth and Brentford make the trip to Sunderland.
Manchester City's tie against Brighton, to be played at the Etihad Stadium, depends on City getting past Norwich in their delayed third-round fixture on Thursday.
There is guaranteed to be a lower-league side in the quarter-finals too, with League One pair Bradford City and Peterborough United drawn together after knocking out Leyton Orient and Barnsley respectively. Fulham's reward for beating Norwich is a home tie against Crystal Palace.
Manchester United, beaten by Brighton in Wednesday's other third-round tie at Old Trafford, will have no interest in the draw this time around, leaving Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Everton, Villa, Brentford, Sunderland, Fulham and Bournemouth as the remaining top-flight interest heading into round four.
Fourth-round ties will be played in the week commencing 26 October, with the last 16 acting as the gateway to a competition that continues with round five in mid-December, two-legged semi-finals in January and February, and the final at Wembley next March.
