Speaking to reporters, including Sport Mediaset, from Inter's pre-season training camp in Donaueschingen, the German defender laughed as he described the demands of pre-season work.
"We're all fired up. I don't think anyone enjoys pre-season training, though," he said.
"We're working a lot, hard, for long hours and twice a day. For me it's not the best," he joked, "but it's important to do it. I think we're working well."
With Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij no longer at the club and Benjamin Pavard's future uncertain, the 25-year-old could find himself with more opportunities to start regularly this season. Asked about his prospects, Bisseck was measured in his response.
"I don't know, I just want to play and have the trust of the coach (Chivu, ed.). Then I have to put everything I have out on the pitch, show my qualities. But I think I'm on the right path: this is my fourth year, I want to play like I did last year and be a starter, or an important player."
On the possibility of repeating last season's title triumph in the 2026-27 campaign, Bisseck was bullish.
"I always think we are the strongest, even when we don't win. Football is a bit strange, but if we put our qualities out on the pitch we have a great chance of winning another Scudetto," he concluded.
Bisseck has become an increasingly important figure in Inter's defence since joining the club, and head coach Cristian Chivu is expected to lean further on the German this season with the club's centre-back options thinner than in previous years following the departures of Acerbi and De Vrij. His comments reflect the broader confidence within Inter's squad heading into the new campaign, even as the club looks to bounce back from any disappointments of the season just gone and reassert itself at the top of Italian football.
Now in his fourth season at San Siro since joining from AGF Aarhus, Bisseck has grown from a relative unknown into one of the more reliable defensive options at Chivu's disposal, having made over 100 appearances for the club since his arrival.
His versatility and physical profile have made him a regular topic of transfer speculation in recent windows, with reported interest from clubs in the Premier League and Bundesliga, though the defender has previously played down suggestions he is looking to leave, insisting his focus remains on establishing himself further at Inter.
The intensity of pre-season training in Donaueschingen forms part of that process, with Chivu using the training camp to lay down the physical foundations for a campaign in which Inter will be expected to challenge on multiple fronts once again, domestically and in Europe.
