The appointment became effective on Thursday, with Lo Schiavo taking on a role focused on identifying and developing young talent across the club's football structure.
His arrival adds another specialist to the Nerazzurri's recruitment and development operation, with his previous experience spanning scouting, youth development and sporting management.
Lo Schiavo began his career in football administration at Viterbese before joining Roma, where he worked first as director of the scouting department and subsequently as technical coordinator of the youth sector.
He moved to Salernitana in 2022 as head of scouting before joining Palermo in 2024, working within the club's scouting department until his move to Inter.
His background in identifying emerging players and assessing young talent is expected to be central to his new responsibilities. The appointment also places him in a position to work alongside Baccin, who oversees Inter's football operations.
Inter Milan president and chief executive Giuseppe Marotta welcomed Lo Schiavo's arrival, highlighting the experience and enthusiasm he brings to the club.
"Simone Lo Schiavo joins our club with expertise and great enthusiasm. His contribution will be valuable in the daily work within the sporting department. We welcome him and wish him every success," Marotta said.
Lo Schiavo's appointment comes as Inter continue to develop their long-term sporting structure, with the discovery and progression of young players an important part of the club's strategy.
His experience at Roma, Salernitana and Palermo provides a background across different levels of Italian football, while the move to Inter represents the most prominent position of his career to date.
The club confirmed that he will report directly to Baccin, with his work intended to strengthen the sporting department's approach to player development and talent identification.
