Georgian teenage midfielder Andria Bartishvili appears to have publicly rejected claims that Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign him, with well-connected Georgian outlet Geo Team reporting that three clubs remain actively working to secure his signature.

Bartishvili, 17, reposted Geo Team's update on his Instagram story โ€” an account that previously broke news on fellow Georgian Giorgi Mamardashvili's move to Liverpool โ€” effectively endorsing the claim that no agreement is in place with the Gunners.

The report stated Arsenal, Liverpool and Paris FC have all submitted offers, with the two English clubs matching each other financially.

Paris FC are understood to be attempting a different approach, offering Bartishvili the prospect of guaranteed first-team minutes from the outset rather than a development pathway. That pitch may carry particular weight given that a move to England comes with a timing constraint: Premier League work permit rules prevent foreign players from officially signing with English clubs until they turn eighteen, and Bartishvili does not reach that age until March 2027.

The attacking midfielder is contracted to Kolkheti Poti of the Georgian second division and is currently on loan at top-flight club Iberia 1999, with whom he is due to play a Champions League qualifier against Tallinna FC Flora in July. He has indicated he will make a final decision on his future after those matches.

Interest in him has grown rapidly. His performances for the Georgia under-21 national team drew early attention from Italian clubs including Juventus, with one agent who previously recommended Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Napoli drawing comparisons between the two players.

BBC Sport journalist Sami Mokbel had previously reported that Arsenal were set to make a pre-contract offer. Liverpool's approach, confirmed separately, reflects new head coach Andoni Iraola's intent to invest in long-term talent alongside immediate first-team recruitment.
