Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti has made Alisson a personal target. The connection is a familiar one — Spalletti managed Alisson at Roma, where the goalkeeper arrived as Wojciech Szczesny's understudy before an outstanding 2017-18 season as first choice convinced Liverpool to pay £66.8 million for his services.
Juve are prepared to offer a three-year contract, according to Gazzetta, at a salary in the region of €7-8 million per season — less than he currently earns at Anfield but a significant package nonetheless.
The timing suits both club and player. Michele Di Gregorio has fallen out of favour in Turin and is expected to leave at the end of the season. Veteran backup Mattia Perin is also entering the final year of his deal. Juventus need a goalkeeper of authority and standing.
Alisson's position at Liverpool has also shifted. Giorgi Mamardashvili, signed from Valencia for around £29 million, is being groomed as the club's long-term number one. Alisson has found himself sidelined at key moments this season through recurring muscle injuries, and is said to feel his first-choice status at Anfield may not survive into next season.
