VfB Stuttgart are planning to loan out 19-year-old Noah Darvich this summer after the teenager's outstanding season in the third division โ€” and both VfL Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen are competing to land him, according to Bild.

Darvich contributed 16 goal involvements โ€” the exact figure combining the 10 goals and six assists cited across multiple German outlets โ€” for VfB Stuttgart's reserve team in the third tier this season, playing as a technically gifted left-footed attacking midfielder with an eye for the key pass and the ability to beat his man in tight spaces.

He is a 2023 Under-17 World Cup winner and returned to Germany last summer from Barcelona's academy after three years in Catalonia.

Stuttgart's preference is to send him to second-division level at minimum, with a Bundesliga loan also under consideration depending on the right environment. VfL Wolfsburg, who were relegated from the Bundesliga this season, and Werder Bremen, who survived on the final day, are currently the frontrunners.

SC Freiburg have also been mentioned as a previous interested party, though no concrete approach from the Black Forest club has materialised this summer.

Whether the destination is first or second tier, Stuttgart want Darvich to play regularly โ€” that is the primary condition attached to any temporary departure. A club willing to give him consistent minutes at a competitive level, rather than the prospect of sitting on a bench in a higher division, will have the strongest case.

Darvich is viewed internally at Stuttgart as a player for the senior squad within two to three years, but the club's technical staff are clear that the right loan now is the best path to that outcome.
