Journalist Pablo Oliveira, citing agent Ricardo Scheidt directly, confirmed that Pereira has received offers from several clubs, naming West Ham United, Nottingham Forest, Turkish side Besiktas, and Mexican clubs Cruz Azul and Monterrey among those who have made approaches to the player's camp.
Flamengo's position remains unchanged. Brazilian outlet Bolavip reports the club is not concerned about the prospect of losing the 30-year-old and has no intention of opening negotiations for his departure.
That consistency tracks with Flamengo's stance throughout the previous six months. When West Ham made informal contact in January, it went nowhere. When Everton registered interest at the same time, they were similarly rebuffed. The club view Pereira as a defensive pillar and are determined to keep the core of their squad together following a 2025 season in which they won the Brasileirão and the Copa Libertadores.
Pereira joined Flamengo from Athletico Paranaense in January 2020 for €7 million and has since made over 280 appearances for the Rio de Janeiro club. He was named in the South American Team of the Year in 2025 and earned his first senior Brazil call-up on the back of performances that drew comparisons to the best centre-backs on the continent.
Any deal would require triggering his release clause, understood to stand at €60 million. No European club has come close to that figure in either formal or informal contact. Everton were told the clause figure when they made initial contact. West Ham did not reach the stage of submitting an offer.
The clause exists, and in theory it is activatable. But at €60 million for a 30-year-old Brazilian defender with a contract running to December 2027, it presents a significant financial and sporting calculation for any buying club.
Flamengo know the price is working in their favour. They are not expecting a phone call they cannot turn down.
