Coventry City, managed by Frank Lampard, who worked with Mudryk at Stamford Bridge in 2023, are believed to be among those to have enquired, with two further unnamed Premier League clubs and three European sides also monitoring his situation.
All options are open between Mudryk and Chelsea this summer, including whether to send him out on loan, after his sudden comeback from a doping suspension that had been due to run for four years but ended early following a successful appeal and a change in WADA's testing processes, which means his 2024 sample would not be reported as a breach if tested under today's rules.
The current plan is for the 25-year-old Ukrainian to be assessed by Xabi Alonso, having travelled to Hong Kong to join his team-mates on their pre-season tour, with the head coach describing him as a "special player" and a "top guy" following his return.
Chelsea want to see where their player's performance levels are now, with the Ukraine international, who has 28 caps and three goals for his country, not having been involved in competitive football since November 2024. That was via his last appearance in a Conference League win away at Heidenheim, in which he scored and then disappeared following his failed test, having always maintained he never knowingly used the banned substance.
Another option this summer would be to send Mudryk on loan to Strasbourg, Chelsea's sister club in France's Ligue 1, which would allow him to stay under the BlueCo umbrella while continuing his rehabilitation into first-team football.
Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk for £62m in January 2023 on an eight-and-a-half-year contract, and his old number 10 shirt has since been handed to Cole Palmer, meaning any return to the matchday squad would come with a new squad number attached.
