Juventus have held five separate meetings with the Vlahović camp. Head coach Luciano Spalletti has pushed strongly for the renewal to be completed — he backed Vlahović's return from injury and saw him repay the faith with goals against Hellas Verona and Lecce in consecutive matches.
The offer currently on the table is a two-year deal with a third-year option at €7million per season plus performance bonuses of up to €4million — a reduction of more than 40 per cent from his current earnings of €12million. Juventus's salary ceiling, set at parity with Kenan Yıldız's recently improved wages, means they cannot go higher.
The broader context makes the stakes clear. Loïs Openda and Jonathan David will both leave Juventus this summer. Nicolas Jackson is returning to Chelsea after Bayern declined to trigger their purchase option. Harry Kane, in his final 18 months of contract at Bayern, is attracting interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. Bayern need a centre-forward — and a free agent with Vlahović's proven goal record is an obvious solution.
The Serbian has scored twice in his last two appearances after a five-month injury layoff, with 12 goals and seven assists across the full season in all competitions. He remains Juventus's most dangerous attacking presence. Losing him without replacement would leave Spalletti with a structural problem that even the most creative summer could struggle to solve.
Juventus have set an internal deadline of the end of May. With 18 days remaining, Vlahović is not yet ready to move.
