The Senegal forward has been on holiday since his country's World Cup campaign ended, but several Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on his situation, including Ason Villa, where Unai Emery is understood to hold a strong interest, according to The Sun.
Emery, who gave Jackson his big break in Europe during his time at Villarreal, tried to sign him last summer before his loan move to Bayern Munich went through instead.
Jackson spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Bayern, where he is reported to have scored 11 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions, though he found regular starts hard to come by behind Harry Kane and had to compete with the form of Luis Diaz on the left.
Jackson's representatives have been told that Chelsea are willing to reintegrate him into the first-team squad and give him a genuine opportunity under Alonso, the report adds. That plan has reportedly been in the works for some time, as the player counts down the days before rejoining his Chelsea team-mates.
Jackson is due to link up with the squad for their pre-season tour of Australia and Asia, which begins on July 28 against Western Sydney Wanderers in Sydney and concludes on August 9 against Johor Darul Ta'zim in Malaysia, taking in fixtures against Tottenham, Juventus and AC Milan along the way.
Jackson scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for Chelsea across two seasons before his move to Bayern, having arrived from Villarreal in 2023, and was part of the squads that won the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup last year.
The 24-year-old's future at Stamford Bridge appeared uncertain 12 months ago, after Chelsea brought in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro to bolster their attacking options. He has never been formally frozen out, however, and Chelsea's stance now appears to be that he will be given a fair chance to establish himself under Alonso rather than being pushed towards an exit.
Emery's interest in reuniting with Jackson stems from their time together at Villarreal, and the pair have stayed in contact since.
