The Belgian defender has become an important part of Venezia’s team since arriving in the 2024-25 season and was one of the key figures in their promotion back to Serie A last term.
Schingtienne has made 60 appearances for Venezia, contributing one goal and two assists during his time with the club.
His most productive campaign came in 2025-26, when he played 38 of Venezia FC’s 41 matches during their promotion-winning season.
The club confirmed the new agreement in an official statement, securing Schingtienne’s services for another five years.
The defender said he was delighted to continue his career in the orange-and-green shirt.
“I am really happy with the renewal I have signed with Venezia FC. I hope to wear the orange-and-green shirt for a long time to come,” Schingtienne said.
He also highlighted the relationship between the team and supporters as an important part of his experience at the club.
“The bond between all the players and the fans is strong, you can feel it every match and that is what makes this club special,” he added.
Schingtienne arrived in Venice during the 2024-25 season and quickly established himself within the squad.
His importance increased further during the following campaign as Venezia pushed for promotion, with his 38 appearances underlining the role he played throughout the season.
The new contract now gives the defender long-term security at a club preparing to compete again at Serie A level.
For Venezia, retaining a player who featured so heavily during their promotion campaign also preserves continuity within the squad following their return to Italy’s top division.
Schingtienne’s extension runs until June 2031, meaning the 24-year-old will remain tied to the club for the foreseeable future.
After helping Venezia secure promotion last season, he now has the opportunity to establish himself at the highest level of Italian football.
The defender’s immediate task will be to continue the form and availability that made him such a regular during Venezia’s promotion campaign, while the club looks to build a team capable of competing in Serie A.
