Coach Luciano Spalletti has identified the Slovakia international as his priority midfield target at Juventus.
Spalletti worked with Lobotka during his title-winning tenure at Napoli, and the 31-year-old was central to the deep-lying playmaker role that defined the club's Scudetto-winning season.
According to Sportmediaset, the personal connection makes Lobotka a natural and specific request from Spalletti as he looks to add a genuine ball-playing midfielder to Juventus's engine room.
Carnevali is expected to request a meeting with De Laurentiis, though any negotiation will be complicated from the outset. Lobotka's contract contains a €25m release clause — but that clause is valid only for clubs outside Italy. For a domestic rival such as Juventus, Napoli would start any discussion at around €30m.
Lobotka is under contract at Napoli until June 2027. The absence of a new deal being in place means his market value will only diminish the closer he gets to free agency, which gives Napoli some incentive to act — but De Laurentiis is not known for accommodating Serie A rivals, and parting with one of the best ball-playing midfielders in the division will not come cheaply.
No formal negotiations have yet begun and the approach remains exploratory. However, Juventus's willingness to pursue Lobotka reflects Spalletti's determination to add specific technical quality in central midfield this summer.
