Arsenal will face the holders at the Puskås Aréna seeking to complete the first league and European Cup double in the club's 140-year history. PSG won last season's final 5-0 against Inter Milan and arrive in Hungary as defending champions, but Saliba said the Premier League triumph has given his squad a new layer of belief.
"It would mean a lot. Now we have started with the Premier League, it is my first one, so I am happy. But I am not full. I want more. And there is a big chance next week in the Champions League, so we have to give everything."
He was clear-eyed about the task ahead.
"It is normal that they are the favourites because they won the Champions League last season, and now they are in the final again. We have to fight and if we want to change that, we need to win."
Arsenal have conceded just six goals in 14 Champions League matches this season, with Saliba and Gabriel MagalhĂŁes forming the most settled centre-back partnership in the competition. They face an attack built around Ousmane DembĂ©lĂ©, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and DĂ©sirĂ© DouĂ© â and Saliba welcomed that challenge directly.
"We have the best defence this season. And when you are the best, you want to play the best. So we are very happy to have attackers like this to play against us and I hope we will win that battle."
The 25-year-old reflected on three successive runners-up finishes in the Premier League before this season's title.
"Those first two years we deserved to win. Every game in the Premier League is hard, even against the bottom teams. Finally we won the league and we have to go again next season."
He also described the moment his conviction grew that the title was within reach.
"I started to feel we could do it in March â after the game against Everton, it was clear to me. After the loss against City, we kept going, we believed in ourselves. And now we are champions."
Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya won a third consecutive Golden Glove this season. The club conceded 26 Premier League goals in 37 matches â the fewest in the division.
One final left. One trophy Arsenal have never won.
