REVEALED: Michael Olise wants Real Madrid move despite Bayern stance

Bayern Munich

Real Madrid's interest in Michael Olise has grown into one of the summer's most talked-about transfer stories, with reports suggesting the France winger himself is pushing for a move to the Bernabéu.

MARCA journalist Pablo Polo captured the scale of the ambition around the deal, saying the club should sell the stadium itself if that's what it took to sign him, reflecting just how highly Olise is regarded after an outstanding campaign at Bayern Munich.

The 24-year-old has been central to the club's success in 2025-26, contributing across all competitions in a season that underlined his status as one of the most coveted players anywhere in the game.

Bayern Munich are likely to demand at least €200m before entertaining a sale this summer, and publicly the club has ruled out letting him leave. Internally, though, the picture looks different: Bayern's hierarchy has already begun making contact with potential replacements, with PSG's Bradley Barcola, 23, understood to be among the names under consideration.

According to Sky Sports, Olise's camp has told Bayern that no meeting or dialogue has taken place with Real Madrid, and that much is technically true. But sources close to the situation say Olise wants to join Real Madrid this summer regardless, viewing the Spanish club as the ideal environment to take the next step in his career. Madrid's hierarchy is understood to be fully aware of that ambition and is prepared to make him a record signing if the opportunity arises.

Bayern remain keen to extend Olise's contract, but their executives also accept that an exceptional offer could change the picture, which is why the club has already lined up potential alternatives in case a deal is agreed.

Real Madrid, for their part, are banking on their strong relationship with the German club's leadership to help push through a deal that would rank among the biggest of the year. Talks between Olise and Bayern's hierarchy are expected to take place after the World Cup, with the outcome likely to prove decisive for his next move.
