Real Madrid could sanction the sale of Eduardo Camavinga this summer, with the France international's future at the club now uncertain.

Manchester City and Manchester United have both been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old midfielder, though any deal will hinge on Real Madrid's valuation should they choose to cash in.

Camavinga, who joined from Rennes in 2021 and signed a contract extension in 2023 running until 2029, is understood to want to stay at the Bernabeu. However, new head coach Jose Mourinho, appointed last month on a three-year deal following Florentino Perez's re-election as club president, is reshaping his squad ahead of the new season and could look to raise funds by moving on players who are not central to his plans.

Real endured a trophyless 2025-26 campaign, and Mourinho has been tasked with rebuilding a squad that finished the season without a major honour for the second year running. Camavinga, who has won two La Liga and Champions League doubles since arriving in Spain, remains a popular figure among supporters despite the uncertainty.

City are currently focused on Lille teenager Ayyoub Bouaddi as their leading target in that position. The 18-year-old's valuation has climbed sharply in recent months, but City view him as more attainable than Camavinga and a stronger long-term investment.

United, meanwhile, are working with a tighter budget this summer and are prioritising cheaper deals or structured payment plans rather than a big-money move for the Frenchman.

Mourinho has already begun pre-season training at Valdebebas and is waiting on further additions while assessing his options. Several fringe players are expected to be allowed to leave on loan or permanently as he reshapes the squad.

Fulham are also monitoring the situations of Real Madrid pair Gonzalo Garcia and Franco Mastantuono, both of whom could be moved on this summer.

Neither Manchester club has made a formal approach, and Real Madrid have given no indication yet that a sale is imminent, but Camavinga's situation is one to watch as the transfer window progresses.
