Sport reports that veterans Dani Carvajal, 34, and David Alaba, 33 — both out of contract in June — will not be offered renewals, ending long associations with the club. Carvajal's recent loss of his place to Trent Alexander-Arnold and his contract expiry have made his exit increasingly likely.
Four other players under contract are also expected to be moved on. Eduardo Camavinga, 23, whose output has fallen below the expectations generated by his arrival from Rennes in 2021, is likely to be sold despite significant residual value. Raúl Asencio, 23, and Fran García, 26, are also considered surplus to requirements.
Dani Ceballos, 29, will leave after a season in which he failed to establish himself under Álvaro Arbeloa.
Two younger players will be loaned rather than sold. Franco Mastantuono, 18, is expected to move to Como — linked to the return of Nico Paz — while Gonzalo García, 22, could be sold permanently with a buyback clause retained.
The departures are designed to clear space for a significant rebuild. Real Madrid plan to activate buy-back options on Nico Paz and Víctor Muñoz, bring Endrick back from his Lyon loan, and make at least two high-profile signings — a centre-back and a central midfielder — in the summer window.
