Real Madrid have begun work on a new contract for Jude Bellingham, according to journalist Matteo Moretto on La Pizarra, continuing the club's policy of tying down its most important players well before their existing deals run out.
Moretto said: "Madrid are going to renew Jude Bellingham, he's next."
Bellingham signed a six-year contract when he joined from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023, running until 2029, but Moretto reports the new deal under discussion would extend that to 2030 or 2031, with an agreement possible within weeks.
"We're always talking about a renewal until 2030 or 2031. We'll see if anything changes, but they're working on it."
The proposed terms would place Bellingham on around €48 million a season, matching the salary tier recently agreed for Vinícius Júnior and putting him alongside Kylian Mbappé among the club's top earners, reflecting Real Madrid's wish to avoid a gap between the wages of its most important young players and its established stars.
The timing follows an explosive start to the season under José Mourinho, in which Bellingham has scored twice and provided three assists in four league games, a marked improvement on a difficult 2025-26 campaign that yielded eight goals and five assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.
