RB Leipzig must raise €100m this summer — and Diomande alone could cover it

RB Leipzig are required by their internal financial plan to generate €100 million from player sales this summer — but with Yan Diomande alone attracting bids above that figure, the club is approaching the window from a position of strength.

Diomande, 19, is the prize asset. Oliver Mintzlaff has publicly stated he would not sell the winger regardless of price, but Bild reports that a deal structured for a 2027 move could be agreed this summer, with a potential fee of €120 million. Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are the primary suitors.

Castello Lukeba, 23, has a release clause of €80 million, and Leipzig are understood to be open to offers marginally below that figure.

Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and several Premier League clubs are all monitoring the French centre-back. Bayern's interest is described as real but not urgent.

Assan Ouédraogo, 19, has attracted bids of between €80 and €100 million, most notably from Manchester United. However, his injury history — he missed large parts of last season — has led to internal discussions about whether he would benefit more from another stable Bundesliga campaign.

Among loaned players, Napoli hold a €16.5 million option on Eljif Elmas, Sunderland must pay €20 million to keep Lutsharel Geertruida, and Juventus are contractually obliged to purchase Loïs Openda for €40 million despite his struggles in Turin.

Olympique de Marseille have declined to take up their €20 million option on Arthur Vermeeren, with Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur now expressing interest in the Belgian midfielder.
