Liverpool had a โฌ100million offer knocked back by Leipzig while the 19-year-old was away at the tournament, but according to Bild, the Bundesliga club now find themselves fielding interest from considerably further afield.
Arsenal, freshly motivated by Leandro Trossard's exit, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have all signalled a willingness to meet a nine-figure valuation.
Of that group, PSG appear to hold the strongest hand: personal terms on a contract through 2031 are already agreed with Diomande, even though no formal offer has yet arrived from Paris.
RB Leipzig, for their part, hold a strong contractual position - Diomande is tied to the club until 2030 with no release clause - but pressure is mounting from multiple directions. Bild reports that Diomande's camp, working with the powerful Roc Nation agency, is now pushing PSG to formalise their interest and accelerate talks with Leipzig, partly out of concern that a rival suitor could hijack the move if PSG continue to delay.
Notably, both Red Bull's Oliver Mintzlaff and PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi were present at the World Cup final in New York last weekend, a coincidence unlikely to have gone unused.
Leipzig's asking price sits at a minimum of โฌ120million, but sentiment inside the club is reportedly shifting: fewer people at Leipzig now believe Diomande can be persuaded to stay for another season, even with the offer of a loan-back arrangement that Luis Enrique, among others at PSG, is said to be reluctant to accept.
The club is acutely aware of the box-office pull a player like Diomande provides - supporters come to watch him play - but is equally conscious that keeping a player against both his own wishes and those of his representatives risks unsettling the dressing room, a scenario Leipzig have lived through before with Xavi Simons.
This summer's World Cup marked Diomande's first major tournament for Ivory Coast, during which he suffered a 2-1 group-stage defeat to Germany, and the exposure appears to have only heightened the scale of interest now surrounding him heading into the final weeks of the transfer window.
