Scheller has made 69 competitive appearances for SC Paderborn since his move from St. Pauli, establishing himself as a regular in defence through the club's promotion-chasing campaigns. He played the full 90 minutes in Paderborn's opening Bundesliga fixture of the season, a goalless draw against 1. FSV Mainz 05, as the East Westphalian club began life back in the German top flight.
