The Real Madrid coach faces trips to Racing Santander, AEK Athens and Valencia in a demanding sequence that follows his side's victory over Barcelona in the Clásico. Mourinho believes the calendar has left his players with an unnecessarily tight turnaround, particularly with the trip to Mestalla brought forward.
"Three matches in seven days, with three trips, is a grand gift they have given us. Whether it is LaLiga or the television companies, I don't know," Mourinho said.
"We should have played yesterday and we are playing today. We should have played Valencia on Sunday and we are playing on Saturday. They take away two days and concentrate three matches into seven days. It is a gift we have to face."
The Portuguese coach acknowledged that the run would be difficult, but insisted it could also reveal the character of his squad.
"It will be difficult. I think it is an almost unique situation, with four consecutive away matches. It is a test of our resilience, a test of our squad and of our ability to have everyone prepared and motivated."
Mourinho was keen to ensure that the victory over Barcelona did not distract his players from the immediate challenge at Racing, who remain unbeaten at home.
"Our last victory has great significance if we win again. If we lose the points now, the victory against Barcelona will not have the same meaning," he said.
"Our objective this season is not to win one match against Barcelona. Our objective is to win the championship."
He also praised the mentality shown by his players after the Clásico, claiming that the celebrations had quickly given way to a return to normal training.
"I have seen the same empathy, the same respect, the same willingness to work and the same balance. We are not a team with a lot of great experience, but I have seen a team with maturity and calmness in difficult moments and in moments of glory."
Mourinho also addressed the Ballon d'Or result, congratulating Harry Kane while making clear his admiration for Kylian Mbappé.
"I had the privilege of working with Harry. He is a great player, a great professional and a great person. Within the frustration that one of my players did not win, I am also very happy for Harry. He deserves that joy, that finishing touch to his career."
However, he maintained that Mbappé's achievements were exceptional.
"Kylian is Kylian. Kylian is unique. Every year we have a Ballon d'Or, but there is only one best goalscorer in the history of the World Cup. It is something absolutely unique."
Mourinho also expressed surprise at Jude Bellingham finishing 11th in the voting, adding: "No comments."
The coach rejected suggestions that Madrid had become a better-balanced team without Vinícius Júnior, who is currently suspended in LaLiga.
"I want this suspension to end quickly because I love him and I need him. That does not mean I am saying he will start, but he is not a problem for me. He is another great player we will have available in a very good squad."
Mourinho also played down speculation that Trent Alexander-Arnold could seek a January departure after losing his place, insisting that rotation would be necessary throughout the campaign.
