Divin Mubama has emerged as a target for three Championship clubs, with Middlesbrough, Derby County and Preston North End all showing interest in the Manchester City striker.

The 21-year-old forward was born in Newham and joined the West Ham United academy at the age of eight, progressing through the London club's youth ranks before turning professional.

He made his senior debut for the Hammers in November 2022 in a Europa Conference League tie, and went on to represent England at every youth level from Under-15 up to Under-21.

Mubama left West Ham when his contract expired at the end of June 2024, and Manchester City completed his move that August for a fee in the region of ยฃ2million.

He marked his arrival at the Etihad in style, scoring on his Manchester City debut in an 8โ€“0 FA Cup third round win over Salford City in January 2025.

Last summer, City sent the striker out on loan to Stoke City for the 2025-26 Championship campaign, where he wasted little time making an impact.

Mubama scored on his debut for Stoke in a 3โ€“1 win over Derby County in the opening game of the season, and went on to net his first senior hat-trick in a 5-1 victory over Bristol City in November.

His campaign was then cut short in January when he suffered ankle ligament damage following a heavy challenge from QPR defender Jimmy Dunne, with the striker initially fearing the injury was more serious.

He has since made a full recovery and returned to fitness, prompting fresh interest from clubs in the second tier keen to secure a loan or permanent deal for the England youth international.

Derby have already opened dialogue with the player, though no decision has been made by either party.

Middlesbrough and Preston have also registered their interest, and further suitors could emerge as the transfer window continues.

City are yet to determine Mubama's next step, weighing up whether another loan spell would benefit his development more than a permanent departure at this stage.
