Romelu Lukaku is attracting interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, Turkish sides and Monaco as his future at Napoli grows uncertain following a season in which a hamstring injury left him barely featured for the Italian champions.

According to Fabrizio Romano, several clubs have already made initial enquiries about the Belgian striker, with Saudi clubs among the first to sound out his availability. Turkish sides have opened contacts with his entourage, while Monaco have also registered their interest in bringing him to Ligue 1.

A further option has also emerged: Lukaku could choose to wait until January, run down his Napoli contract and sign for a new club as a free agent โ€” a possibility Romano identifies as a scenario that could become concrete in the coming months.

The 33-year-old is currently representing Belgium at the World Cup, where he has been working to rebuild his match fitness after a Serie A season in which he managed only a handful of appearances. His importance to the Belgian squad is undiminished, but the lack of club football over the past year has raised questions about his long-term future at Napoli and what comes next.

For Napoli, the decision over Lukaku's future carries financial and squad-planning implications. Keeping a player on a significant salary who cannot stay fit would make little sense, but securing a meaningful fee โ€” rather than watching him leave for nothing in January โ€” requires moving quickly while clubs are still willing to pay.

The Saudi route offers the most money but the least competitive appeal. Monaco represents a Ligue 1 club with European ambitions and resources. The January free agent option gives Lukaku the most control but leaves Napoli with nothing to show for a player who cost them significantly to acquire from Chelsea's books.
