The Reds have been searching for attacking reinforcements since Mohamed Salah's departure from Anfield, with several names considered but no deal yet completed. According to Sky Sports, Liverpool have now checked on Akliouche's availability after being alerted to the France international's situation at Monaco.
The 24-year-old is also wanted by PSG, who have already seen a number of offers rejected by Monaco, the most recent believed to be in the region of £34million. Akliouche came through Monaco's academy and scored seven times in 43 appearances last season, form that earned him a place in France's World Cup squad, where he made one appearance.
Barcola, meanwhile, remains Liverpool's priority as they continue to weigh up their options out wide. The 23-year-old is valued at around £100million and could yet leave Paris this summer, with Arsenal also credited with an interest, though Liverpool are understood to be leading the race. Bayern Munich have also been linked, but reports from The Sun suggest it is Liverpool who currently sit at the front of the queue.
PSG's stance on Barcola has reportedly softened following their pursuit of RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, who is set to join the French champions once a replacement is sourced in Leipzig - a development that Liverpool missed out on but which may ultimately free up Barcola's exit.
The winger impressed for France at the World Cup and scored 13 times for PSG last season, having netted 21 the year before.
