According to Kicker, the Bundesliga side would now be prepared to let the 23-year-old go for an offer of €60m.
The centre-back's contract, which runs until 2029, contains a release clause of €80m, but no club appears willing to meet that figure.
Should RB Leipzig fail to find a buyer for the Frenchman, the magazine reports it would increase pressure on the club's hierarchy to reconsider their stance on Yan Diomande.
The 19-year-old winger has already reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over a summer move, though Leipzig are not willing to let him leave before the summer of 2027.
Diomande recently went public with his position, withdrawing his previous commitment to spend another year at the club.
Sporting director Marcel Schäfer has remained firm despite that intervention.
"To emphasise it again: Yan Diomande will remain a Leipzig player."
There is still time for the club to find an alternative route to raising funds. Should Lukeba depart, Leipzig plan to bring in a replacement who is also left-footed at centre-back.
