Juventus explore swap deal for Brahim and Gonzalo using Yildiz as bait

Juventus

Juventus have contacted Real Madrid about a potential deal to sign attacking midfielder Brahim Díaz and teenage forward Gonzalo García, offering a purchase option on Turkish forward Kenan Yıldız as part of the arrangement, according to Tuttosport.

The Italian daily reported the approach as part of Juventus director general Damien Comolli's summer rebuild planning, with the club seeking to add creativity and versatility to a forward line that struggled for consistency this season.

Brahim Díaz, 25, rejoined Real Madrid from AC Milan in 2024 following a successful second loan spell in Italy. He has been used sparingly by Álvaro Arbeloa this season and has struggled to force his way into the first team regularly, making a sale or loan this summer a realistic prospect. His contract at Real Madrid runs until June 2027.

Gonzalo García, 19, is one of Real Madrid's most highly rated La Fábrica products. Born in 2006, he has been used sparingly at senior level but is considered one of the most technically gifted young forwards developed in Madrid's academy in recent years. His inclusion in the discussions alongside Brahim reflects Juventus's interest in building for the medium term as well as the immediate future.

The Yıldız element is the more delicate aspect of any negotiation. The 20-year-old Turkish international has been Juventus's most creative player across the last two seasons and was the subject of significant summer interest last year, including from Real Madrid themselves. Offering a purchase option on him is a significant concession — one that Juventus's board would weigh carefully against the profile of what they receive in return.

Real Madrid defender David Alaba, who leaves as a free agent on June 30, is also being considered as a separate Juventus target.

His left-footed profile fits the defensive need Comolli has identified as a priority. The combination of the Brahim-Gonzalo approach and the Alaba interest gives a picture of a Juventus summer that is reaching into the Bernabéu at multiple levels simultaneously.
