Juventus have completed the signing of goalkeeper Kamil Grabara on loan from VfL Wolfsburg until 30 June 2027, giving Luciano Spalletti's side a new deputy to Guglielmo Vicario following the exits of both Michele Di Gregorio and Mattia Perin from the club's goalkeeping department this summer.
The Polish international, born in January 1999, came through the youth ranks at Ruch Chorzów before moving to Liverpool in 2016, where loan spells at Aarhus and Huddersfield Town helped shape his early professional career.
A switch to Copenhagen in January 2021 brought two Danish league titles, a Danish Cup and his Champions League debut, while a move to Wolfsburg in the summer of 2024 established him as the German club's first-choice goalkeeper, with 63 Bundesliga appearances to his name.
Juventus confirmed the loan carries a fee of €0.5m plus up to €0.2m in ancillary costs, with a further €0.3m available in sporting bonuses. The agreement also includes an option for Juventus to sign Grabara permanently for around €11.5m, payable over three financial years, should the loan spell convince the club to make the move a lasting one.
Wolfsburg said their goodbyes within minutes of the deal being made official, posting a short message on social media: "Kamil Grabara moves to Juventus on loan. We wish you great success in your new challenge and a wonderful time in Italy, Kamil!"
Grabara now joins a Serie A club overhauling its goalkeeping options in the closing days of the window: Di Gregorio has left for Bournemouth on loan after 84 appearances in two seasons in Turin, while Perin has moved to Palermo, leaving Vicario and Grabara as Juventus's senior pairing between the posts heading into the new campaign.
Vicario himself only arrived at the club this summer to become first-choice goalkeeper, meaning Grabara's arrival completes a near-total turnover of Juventus's goalkeeping department inside a matter of weeks.
For Wolfsburg, the departure leaves a gap in the first-choice goalkeeping position that the club will need to address before the market closes.
