Hull City, Coventry City and Ipswich Town are all interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vitek as the 22-year-old seeks regular first-team football rather than return to Old Trafford as a back-up option.

Vitek impressed during a season-long loan at Championship side Bristol City, keeping 12 clean sheets in 41 appearances and establishing himself as one of the better young goalkeepers in the second tier.

He signed a contract extension with Manchester United through 2028 before the Bristol City loan began last summer and has made clear he has no interest in returning as a deputy. United, aware of the complication, are open to a permanent sale, says the Daily Mail.

The club have set an asking price of around £10m, though they would consider a loan arrangement if Vitek committed to a fresh long-term deal. The Czech youth international previously had stints at Accrington Stanley and Austrian club Blau-Weiss Linz before establishing himself at Bristol City.

Hull, who want to sign two goalkeepers this summer, are leading the Premier League interest. The Tigers have sent scouts to the World Cup as part of their recruitment drive and have opened talks with Sporting Braga for Czech goalkeeper Lukáš Horníček. They also made an inquiry for Bayern Munich's Alexander Nübel as a more ambitious option, but the German international is holding out for a higher-profile club.

United are simultaneously working to add experienced cover for first-choice goalkeeper Senne Lammens, with Wolverhampton Wanderers' Sam Johnstone and Leeds United's Karl Darlow both under consideration. Darlow's contract at Elland Road expires on June 30.

Vitek's Premier League interest reflects a wider trend among newly promoted clubs seeking reliable, young goalkeepers who can provide genuine competition at the top flight. All three interested clubs — Hull, Coventry and Ipswich — are preparing for their first or second seasons back in the top division and view the position as a priority this summer.
