The move, confirmed by Iraklis on Wednesday, includes an option for the Greek club to sign the 18-year-old on a permanent basis at the end of the loan. Žulevič had already broken into Genoa's first-team picture under head coach Daniele De Rossi this season, making his Serie A debut for the Rossoblù despite having only joined the club from Slovak side MFK Zemplín Michalovce in the summer of 2025.
Standing at 1.98 metres, Žulevič made his name in his homeland before completing the move to Italy, and has continued to progress through Slovakia's youth international set-up, having represented his country at Under-19 level.
Iraklis, coached by the experienced Italian Walter Mazzarri, will hope the forward's physical profile and Genoa pedigree can add a new attacking option as the Greek club builds its own squad for the season.
In its statement announcing the deal, Iraklis said: "Adam Žulevič was born on 14 September 2007 in Slovakia, is 1.98m tall and plays as a central striker. He began his football career at MFK Zemplín Michalovce, where he took his first steps at professional level, before moving to Genoa in the summer of 2025.
He played for the Italian club in the Primavera championship, and this season also made his Serie A debut. He is also a Slovak youth international, having played for the Under-19 national team. Adam, welcome to the Iraklis family! We wish you health and lots of success in the blue-and-white shirt!"
For Genoa, the loan offers Žulevič the kind of regular senior football that would have been difficult to guarantee in Serie A at this stage of his development, while keeping the option open to bring him back, or cash in on him, further down the line.
It also continues a pathway that clubs increasingly favour for promising academy strikers: a temporary move abroad, in a competitive but less pressured environment, before a decision is made on their longer-term future back in Italy.
