This is the Istanbul club's second denial on the matter in less than a week, after an initial statement four days earlier had already dismissed suggestions of an agreement between Galatasaray, Musiala and Bayern Munich — an unusual step for a club to take twice over the same rumour.
Musiala, 23, remains under contract at Bayern until 2030 and is the club's top earner, having signed an extension earlier this year reportedly worth around €25m a season.
He is currently working his way back to fitness following the removal of a metal plate from his foot, an injury that has kept the Germany international sidelined for an extended period; he has earned 46 caps for the national team and is close friends with Bayern teammate-turned-Galatasaray winger Leroy Sané, a connection that may have helped fuel the speculation in Turkish media.
Galatasaray's statement, issued in full, read: "In light of recent news circulating deliberately about our club that does not reflect the truth, it has become necessary to inform the public.
"Claims that professional footballer Jamal Musiala will be transferred to Galatasaray are untrue. The persistent effort to keep these claims — which have been clearly shown to be untrue — on the agenda is an attempt to create a perception aimed at misleading the public and discrediting our club's transfer operations.
"It is noteworthy that the individuals and outlets behind these speculations made similar untrue claims last season as well. Galatasaray Sports Club carries out its transfer operations in line with our club's interests, with great care and confidentiality. Untrue news and speculative claims will not change our club's working principles and objectives.
"We kindly ask the public and Galatasaray's great supporters to base their understanding only on our club's official statements, and not to give credibility to news and speculation that do not reflect the truth, nor to the individuals and outlets who persistently circulate them.
