Tuttomercatoweb reports that Bellanova is expected to leave Atalanta this summer following an injury-disrupted campaign, with Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Tottenham all identified as Premier League clubs tracking the Italy international.
AC Milan retain a long-standing interest but are considered unlikely to match the asking price. Atalanta are open to selling for a fee in the region of €15m to €20m and — according to multiple Italian outlets — prefer an English destination over a Serie A move.
Bellanova, 25, has made 80 appearances across two seasons in Bergamo since joining Torino for €20m in August 2024. His 2024-25 campaign was his most productive — 34 appearances, nine assists and consistent performances in both the league and the Champions League. This season, injury disrupted his rhythm significantly. He made just 24 Serie A appearances, only 15 from the start, contributing one assist.
The versatility that makes him attractive to Vítor Pereira is genuine. He can play as a right wing-back, right-back, winger or even centre-back — an adaptability that fits a Forest squad the manager intends to keep compact while covering the positional flexibility required to switch between three and four-man defensive structures.
The Savona subplot adds an additional layer of interest. TuttoAtalanta reports that the Italian champions are tracking the 23-year-old Forest full-back as a potential replacement for Marco Palestra — their right-back who is attracting significant interest from Inter Milan and Como. Savona joined Forest from Juventus 12 months ago and his future at the City Ground is uncertain, with his long-term role under Pereira not yet established.
Whether the two moves are formally linked remains unclear. Atalanta have not indicated they are seeking a structured swap arrangement and the valuations differ considerably — Bellanova at €15-20m, Savona at a higher premium given his age and profile. But the symmetry of the interest gives both negotiations an added dynamic as the window opens on June 15.
