Mancini's new-look Italy set-up is officially taking shape, with the FIGC confirming the staff that will accompany him from September's UEFA Nations League fixtures against Turkey, France and Belgium.
Mancini was appointed as Italy's head coach on 28 July, returning to the role he held between 2018 and 2023, after a turbulent few weeks for the federation that saw Andrea Pirlo's candidacy collapse and previous technical directors Paolo Maldini and Leonardo resign. Claudio Ranieri was named technical director and president of Club Italia as part of the same reshuffle.
Gabriele Oriali, a member of Italy's 1982 World Cup-winning squad, returns to the national team set-up as team manager, a role he previously held under both Antonio Conte and Mancini himself, most recently working alongside Conte at Napoli.
Oriali will not serve as head of delegation, however, with speculation growing that the role could go to Ranieri or to a surprise appointment altogether.
Mancini has named Alberto Bollini, the outgoing Under-19 head coach, as his assistant. Bollini brings recent success with Italy's youth ranks, having led the Under-19s to the European title in 2023.
Leonardo Bonucci, Antonio Gagliardi and Massimo Maccarone join the group as technical collaborators. Bonucci continues his involvement with the national team after previously working under Gennaro Gattuso, while Gagliardi, who served as a match analyst during Italy's triumphant Euro 2021 campaign under Mancini, returns to the Azzurri fold in a technical capacity.
For Maccarone, the appointment marks his first involvement with the senior national team, following his time alongside Mancini at Al-Sadd in Qatar.
Completing the backroom team are goalkeeping coach Marco Roccati and assistant Cristiano Lupatelli, fitness coaches Giacomo Ceci and Marco Montini, and match analysts Renato Baldi and Christian Venturini. The appointments mark the formal start of Mancini's second spell in charge of the Azzurri, with the squad due to reconvene for its first gathering under the new set-up ahead of the September international window.
