Diant Ramaj is looking to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, with the goalkeeper determined to become a regular first-choice number one rather than fight for a place further down the pecking order at Signal Iduna Park.

According to Bild, the 24-year-old has made clear he wants out after returning from a season-long loan at Heidenheim, where he made 33 appearances and was praised for a series of strong performances despite the club's ultimately unsuccessful fight against relegation.

Ramaj remains under contract at Dortmund until 2029, though the report states there are currently no concrete offers on the table for the German goalkeeper, who is valued at around โ‚ฌ7million.

Ramaj joined Borussia Dortmund in February 2025 in the hope of eventually challenging Gregor Kobel for the number one shirt, but has yet to make his competitive debut for the club despite productive loan spells at both Copenhagen and Heidenheim.

With Kobel firmly established as first choice and no fresh transfer speculation surrounding the Swiss international, Ramaj would likely be no closer to regular football if he returned to Dortmund's squad this season.

Before his move to Dortmund, Ramaj came through spells at Eintracht Frankfurt and Ajax, where he lost his place to Remko Pasveer before being sold on for a โ‚ฌ5million fee that took him to Signal Iduna Park.

His loan at Copenhagen brought a domestic double, winning both the league title and the Danish Cup, while his form at Heidenheim last season, despite the club's struggles at the wrong end of the Bundesliga table, did little to dent his reputation as one of German football's more promising young goalkeepers.

Dortmund have previously acknowledged they may need to sanction a permanent sale rather than send Ramaj out on loan again, with the club having invested heavily in developing him as a potential long-term successor to Kobel, who has no fewer than two more experienced deputies, including 35-year-old Alexander Meyer, ahead of Ramaj in the queue.

For now, though, his immediate priority remains finding a club willing to hand him the regular starting role he has consistently said he needs.
