The 19-year-old centre-back is in contention to start in Croatia's World Cup opener against England in Dallas, despite ongoing speculation over his future.
Brighton have already seen two bids rejected for Vuskovic, with the latest worth up to ยฃ35m.
The teenager spent last season on loan at Hamburg, where he established himself as one of the most highly-rated young defenders in European football, drawing interest from clubs well beyond the south coast of England.
Tottenham have so far resisted any departure, with the club's stance on the player shifting back and forth amid reports of interest from elsewhere in Europe.
Asked whether the uncertainty around the player's club future was a concern, Dalic gave a detailed assessment of his importance to the national side.
"Vuskovic is a great talent and a great player, he played a great season in his club, he has great potential.
"He will be succeeding Gvardiol, he's very smart, he plays a difficult position and he's still a young player. We will see how we use him."
Dalic went on to back Vuskovic's long-term role in the national team regardless of how his club situation unfolds.
"I expect him to prove himself at this World Cup and to be a great player for us in the next 15 years.
"He will decide his career himself with the people that manage him but it's important for him to find a club where he will play in the starting XI. Again, we have a great player for the next 15 years."
Vuskovic is part of a Croatia squad built around experience, with Josko Gvardiol anchoring the same defensive line the teenager is tipped to lead in years to come.
The contrast between Vuskovic's lack of senior football at Tottenham and his rapid rise through the international ranks has become one of the more talked-about subplots of Croatia's tournament build-up.
Vuskovic impressed on loan in Germany with Hamburg last season, scoring six goals on his way to a place in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.
