Como are pursuing two further significant recruits ahead of their inaugural Champions League season — Real Madrid forward Gonzalo García and Sassuolo centre-back Tarik Muharemovic — as head coach Cesc Fàbregas continues to build his squad.

García, born in 2004, has become Fàbregas's top attacking priority after what sources close to the club describe as an internal consensus that his profile — described as a natural finisher with an instinctive sense of goal, comparable to Raúl in some quarters — fits the technical philosophy at Como perfectly.

The 22-year-old made 51 total appearances for Real Madrid across the past two seasons as he began establishing himself in the first-team structure, contributing 13 goals and 5 assists.

He was previously a favourite of Xabi Alonso during the Spaniard's brief tenure at the Bernabéu, and also attracted praise from interim boss Álvaro Arbeloa — endorsements that underscore his standing within the first-team group.

Como have already executed two successful deals from Real Madrid using a model involving an eventual buyback clause — Nico Paz and Jacobo Ramón both arrived on that basis and both have shown their quality. A similar structure is expected to govern any García arrangement.

Muharemovic, born in 2003, is the club's defensive priority. The Bosnian central defender had an outstanding season for Sassuolo and caught the attention of multiple Serie A heavyweights including Inter Milan, who have been reported as interested in their own right.

Sassuolo are valuing him at €30-35m — a figure that reflects both his quality and the fact that the club bought him from Juventus last summer for just €3m, with Juventus retaining a 50 per cent sell-on clause. That means approximately €15-17m of any sale would return to Juventus.

Muharemovic is set to appear at the World Cup with Bosnia and Herzegovina this summer, which could drive his valuation higher before the window fully opens.
