Speaking to La Provincia di Como, Suwarso set the tone for his assessment with a quote borrowed from across the Alps.
"I am happy. I believe we are further ahead than we imagined we would be. I like Bayern Munich's motto: 'We are who we are.' It's a beautiful motto, a signal of identity. We move forward on our road, convinced it is the right one, pursuing our objectives."
On Paz, the Argentine playmaker who has scored ten goals and provided six assists this season and holds a β¬9 million Real Madrid buy-back clause, Suwarso was measured.
"I don't know if Nico will stay. As you know, there will be time to talk about it."
On Fabregas, the question of interest from Manchester City and Newcastle drew a calm, pointed response.
"Manchester City want him? Newcastle want him too, I believe. I've read about it. But I know that we speak often, we talk often about the future, he calls me about players for next year. We are aligned."
The president was more expansive on the subject of Nikolaos Douvikas, who has emerged as one of Serie A's most in-form strikers in the second half of the season.
"It took him six months to blossom. Now he is the second top scorer after Lautaro β I don't know if I make myself clear. Every player's timing is different, and we are a club that knows how to wait. Same with Baturina. We decided not to rush him and he responded."
On Γlvaro Morata, whose adaptation has also taken time, Suwarso echoed the same patience.
"We will wait for him too. He is a great player."
His final observation was on goalkeeper Jean Butez, and it told its own story.
"I noticed something: compared to the start of the season, teams press him much less now. A sign of more caution β they have understood that he has formidable feet."
Como currently sit fourth in Serie A, pushing for a Champions League place in their first top-flight season in decades.
