Emanuel Emegha was spotted leaving a nightclub in Paris during the international break after the Chelsea forward was approached by people who recognised him.

The 23-year-old Dutch striker has endured a difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea agreed a deal to sign him from Strasbourg in 2025.

Emegha spent six months on loan at Strasbourg before moving to London, but his first weeks at Chelsea have not gone according to plan. He has struggled with injuries and is reportedly not part of Xabi Alonso's immediate plans.

His appearance outside a Paris nightclub has now provided another unusual moment in a difficult period for the forward.

According to Foot Mercato, Emegha was approached by people who recognised him as he left the venue.

The striker responded by joking that he was not a footballer but an artist.

Emegha subsequently explained that he was able to be out because he had two days off from his football commitments.

โ€œIโ€™m not a footballer, Iโ€™m an artist,โ€ he said, according to the report.

โ€œI have two days off, Iโ€™m enjoying myself.โ€

The incident comes as Emegha attempts to establish himself at Chelsea following his move from Strasbourg.

Chelsea agreed the deal in September 2025, with the Dutchman officially joining the club in 2026. He had scored 14 goals and provided three assists in 27 Ligue 1 appearances during his final full season with Strasbourg.

However, his transition to Chelsea has been complicated by injuries and a lack of opportunities under Alonso.

The nightclub appearance is therefore unlikely to alter the broader situation surrounding the striker, particularly given that it occurred during an international break and Emegha stated that he had time off.

For now, the forward's priority will be recovering his fitness and forcing his way into Chelsea's plans.

The unusual encounter in Paris has nevertheless added another chapter to Emegha's difficult beginning in London, with the striker now hoping his fortunes can change on the pitch after a disrupted start to his Chelsea career.
