Liverpool had two offers turned down for the winger during the window, first a £50m bid and then an improved £60m proposal, with Andoni Iraola keen to strengthen his attacking options at Anfield.
Brighton held out for closer to £70m throughout, a valuation Liverpool were ultimately unwilling to match before deadline day passed.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture against Leeds, Hürzeler suggested the door remains open for the future rather than closed for good.
"If the whole team is successful and the individual shines then Yankuba will get a lot of attention again and he can then maybe fulfil his dream in the next transfer window," the head coach said.
Hürzeler was equally clear that Minteh's focus for now needs to be on Brighton.
"He wears the Brighton colours, he wears the Brighton badge. He has been with us for two years now as part of the squad. He has achieved great things together with the boys," he said.
"It's also about him now to commit. In the end, we always say we want to be successful as a club and then you can shine as individuals. That is what we have proved in the past. If we achieve things together, the attention will come to the individual players and that will be the case also this season."
Minteh joined Brighton from Newcastle for £30m in 2024 and has gone on to score 10 goals and add nine assists in 73 appearances, primarily operating on the right flank.
The 22-year-old Gambia international's stock has risen sharply since his arrival on the south coast, to the point where Liverpool's interest reflects a broader shift in how he is now valued around the Premier League.
Brighton did not come away from deadline day empty-handed regardless of Minteh staying put. The club banked around £70m from Carlos Baleba's departure to Manchester United, funds that were partly reinvested in a £15.5m deadline-day move for defender Chema Andrés, continuing the club's long-standing strategy of recycling proceeds from star departures into fresh recruitment even in windows where their biggest names end up staying.
