A host of clubs from Europe's top leagues have started tracking Brommapojkarna teenager Sion Oppong, according to Expressen, after a breakthrough season that has turned the 18-year-old into one of Allsvenskan's most talked-about young talents.

Oppong was promoted to Brommapojkarna's first-team squad ahead of the 2025 season having come through the club's youth ranks, and spent last summer out on loan at FC Stockholm in Ettan Norra, the third tier of Swedish football.

This season has marked his true Allsvenskan breakthrough, with the Swedish-Ghanaian forward contributing two goals and an assist in eleven league appearances so far.

According to Expressen, AFC Bournemouth and Bayer Leverkusen are among the clubs keeping tabs on Oppong, with the English and German sides both credited with genuine interest in the teenager. The report also suggests several other clubs from Europe's leading leagues have taken notice of the Brommapojkarna talent beyond just those two.

Oppong's rise has been rapid. He made his senior debut for Brommapojkarna in February 2025 in a Swedish Cup win over Orgryte, before going on loan to FC Stockholm later that year to gain further first-team experience.

He has represented Sweden at youth level, though his Ghanaian heritage also means he could be an option for Ghana at senior international level in the future, should he choose that path over representing the country of his birth.

With interest from clubs of Bournemouth and Leverkusen's stature already emerging this early in his senior career, Brommapojkarna could find themselves facing a significant test of their ability to hold on to one of their most promising academy products beyond this transfer window, even if no concrete approach has yet been made.

Brommapojkarna have a recent history of developing young talent that goes on to attract attention from bigger clubs, and Oppong's emergence this season fits that pattern.

Playing predominantly as a left winger, he has stood out for his direct running and eye for goal, qualities that have made him increasingly difficult for Allsvenskan defences to contain despite his lack of senior experience.

Whether any of the clubs credited with interest move to make a formal offer before the window closes remains to be seen, but his stock looks set to keep rising regardless.
