Bartosz Mazurek is attracting attention from Borussia Dortmund and Brighton after making a rapid impact at RB Salzburg since his summer move from Poland.

The 19-year-old Poland midfielder joined Salzburg from Jagiellonia Białystok in the summer for a fee of €6 million and has quickly established himself as an important part of the Austrian club’s side.

According to Goal.pl, Dortmund and Brighton are among the clubs worth watching as Mazurek’s reputation continues to grow. Both are understood to have followed the midfielder towards the end of last season, before he chose Salzburg as the next stage of his development.

Mazurek’s decision has already begun to pay off. He has featured regularly for Salzburg this season, while his performances have also pushed him into a prominent role with Poland’s Under-21 side.

The midfielder produced one of his most eye-catching international performances in September, scoring twice in Poland’s 3-0 victory over Sweden in European Championship qualifying.

His development has been particularly rapid since his breakthrough at Jagiellonia. Mazurek came through the club’s academy and made his senior debut in March 2025 before becoming an important member of the first team during the following campaign.

He also attracted wider attention in the Conference League last season when he scored a hat-trick against Fiorentina, a performance that helped accelerate interest from clubs outside Poland.

Salzburg subsequently secured his signature and handed him a contract running until June 2031. The Austrian club have a long-established reputation for developing young players before selling them on to larger European clubs, making Mazurek’s progress likely to remain under close scrutiny.

There is already evidence that his adaptation has been successful. Mazurek has contributed goals and assists in the Austrian Bundesliga and has become increasingly trusted in midfield.

Porto have also previously shown interest. Mazurek revealed in August that the Portuguese club had discussed a possible move with his representatives, but he chose Salzburg after being warned that regular first-team football in Portugal would be harder to secure.

For Mazurek, however, the immediate priority remains continuing the progress that has taken him from Jagiellonia academy prospect to Salzburg regular and Poland Under-21 international.
