Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer went directly to Bild with his message: "Michael Olise is a Bayern player and has a long-term contract. We are not a selling club. If Florentino Pérez wants to send us an offer — which has not happened — he can save himself the effort."
Honorary president Uli Hoeness went further still.
"Sell Olise for €200 million? He won't be sold," Hoeness said. "We play for our fans, and having €200 million in the bank is useless if we play worse every Saturday."
The public statements from two of Bayern's most powerful figures followed reports that Florentino Pérez, freshly re-elected as Real Madrid president, is preparing a club-record bid of around €150 million for the 24-year-old winger.
Pérez himself, when asked directly during media exchanges whether Olise was his target, denied it: "He's a great player, but it's not him."
Spanish outlet TeleFootball subsequently reported that Olise is precisely who Pérez had in mind.
According to Sky Deutschland, Bayern would only consider opening talks if an offer surpassed €200 million — while simultaneously maintaining publicly that no price would be sufficient.
Olise joined Bayern from Crystal Palace for €60 million in the summer of 2024 and has established himself as one of the most dynamic wide forwards in European football. He is contracted until 2029 and Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has stated publicly that no release clause exists in the deal.
The pursuit forms part of the broader ambition that Pérez attached to his re-election campaign. He promised members a marquee Galactico signing if returned to office. With Ibrahima Konaté arriving on a free transfer, the pressure to deliver a headline name in the transfer market remains.
Bayern are not going to make it easy.
