Bayern Munich are weighing up a permanent move for highly-rated teenager Bara Sapoko Ndiaye following his initial loan spell at the club.

The 18-year-old midfielder arrived in January from Gambinos Stars Africa and has been gradually integrated into the squad after an injury delayed his early progress.

Despite that setback, Ndiaye recently made his Bundesliga debut in Bayern’s emphatic 5-0 victory over St. Pauli, offering a glimpse of the potential that has impressed club officials behind the scenes.

Reports in Germany suggest Bayern are now leaning towards converting his temporary stay into a long-term deal, which would make him one of their first confirmed additions ahead of the new season.

He would follow Noel Aseko, who is set to return to the club, as Bayern continue to invest in emerging talent as part of their long-term planning.

Sporting director Max Eberl acknowledged that Ndiaye’s pathway into the first team may have come sooner if not for fitness issues earlier in his spell.

“Unfortunately, he was injured, so the opportunity would probably have arisen sooner,” Eberl admitted.

Even so, the club remain convinced by his ability and are prepared to take the next step in securing his future.

A permanent transfer would likely be followed by a strategic loan move, with Bayern keen to ensure Ndiaye gains regular first-team experience at a competitive level next season.

Such an approach has become a familiar pathway for young players at the club, allowing them to develop outside the intense pressure of immediate first-team expectations in Munich.

For now, Ndiaye still has the opportunity to further showcase his qualities in the closing weeks of the campaign, with Bayern continuing to assess his readiness for the next phase of his career.

If his progression continues on its current trajectory, the club’s growing confidence suggests a long-term future in Bavaria could soon be formalised.
