Liverpool tried to sign Barcola last summer. He chose to remain at the Parc des Princes, but his situation has changed. His contract runs until 2028 and talks over an extension have stalled, per L'Equipe, who reported earlier this month that the club are not entirely opposed to a sale if the right conditions are met. Any fee would be substantial â reports in France suggest a figure in the region of âŹ100 million.
Arsenal are also monitoring Barcola and are understood to have been in contact with the player's camp. His preference between the two English suitors has not been confirmed, though Liverpool's offer of a guaranteed starting role carries significant weight.
Barcola is currently with France at the World Cup, and any move is expected to develop only once the tournament concludes. PSG have identified Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche among the potential replacements being evaluated should a departure go through.
