Barcola tempted by Liverpool move as PSG open door to summer sale

Liverpool have renewed their pursuit of Bradley Barcola after the Paris Saint-Germain winger asked to leave the club and indicated he is genuinely tempted by an Anfield move, according to Le10 Sport.

The French outlet reports that Barcola is interested in Liverpool's project and excited by the prospect of playing regularly in the Premier League. PSG, for their part, have not closed the door on a sale, with Luis Enrique's side understood to be open to negotiations if the player expresses a clear desire to leave and a suitable offer arrives.

Liverpool tried to sign Barcola last summer. He chose to remain at the Parc des Princes, but his situation has changed. Barcola, 23, scored thirteen goals and provided seven assists in forty-nine appearances for PSG last season, but slipped behind Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué in the pecking order for the biggest games.

He did not start the Champions League semi-finals or the final against Arsenal in Budapest — a series of omissions that convinced him he cannot secure the minutes he deserves at PSG.

His contract runs until 2028 and talks over an extension have stalled, per L'Equipe, who reported earlier this month that the club are not entirely opposed to a sale if the right conditions are met. Any fee would be substantial — reports in France suggest a figure in the region of €100 million.

Arsenal are also monitoring Barcola and are understood to have been in contact with the player's camp. His preference between the two English suitors has not been confirmed, though Liverpool's offer of a guaranteed starting role carries significant weight.

Barcola is currently with France at the World Cup, and any move is expected to develop only once the tournament concludes. PSG have identified Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche among the potential replacements being evaluated should a departure go through.

Liverpool's summer business has already included the signing of Víctor Muñoz from Osasuna. Head coach Andoni Iraola is pressing for a more prominent attacking arrival to fill the void left by Mohamed Salah's departure.
