Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg reported that Zahavi — who also represents Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi and striker Robert Lewandowski — is currently in Barcelona for talks that include the Vušković situation alongside those two separate negotiations.
Zahavi's close personal relationship with Barcelona president Joan Laporta is a significant factor in how quickly those discussions can advance.
Vušković joined Tottenham from Hajduk Split for €11million in 2023 at the age of 16, unable to move to England until he turned 18 due to post-Brexit rules. He was sent to Polish side Radomiak Radom and Belgian club Westerlo on loan before joining Hamburger SV last summer. He has never made a competitive first-team appearance for Spurs.
His debut Bundesliga season has been exceptional. He has scored five goals from centre-back, set a 55-year club record by becoming only the second teenager to score a penalty for Hamburg after Manfred Kaltz in 1971, and won all 13 duels in a single match against Wolfsburg. Hamburg want to keep him on loan for a second season. Tottenham have refused.
Vušković is contracted to Tottenham until 2030 with no release clause. Tottenham are asking around €60million, a figure that would make him the third-highest sale in the club's history. Barcelona's financial constraints make that fee difficult, though their interest is genuine.
