Viktor Gyökeres could leave Arsenal for £60 million, with Milan and Juventus monitoring the Sweden striker after his limited start to the current season.

The striker has struggled for regular opportunities at the start of the season, making only two substitute appearances in Arsenal’s first five Premier League matches, and his limited role has fuelled speculation about his future.

According to TuttoJuve, AC Milan and Juventus remain interested in Gyökeres, although Arsenal are not prepared to consider a loan and would instead want a permanent transfer worth £60 million.

That valuation, equivalent to around 796 million Swedish kronor, could make a move difficult for the Serie A clubs, particularly while neither is understood to have made a formal offer.

Gyökeres joined Arsenal from Sporting CP after the London club agreed an initial €66 million fee, with a further €10 million available in bonuses. He scored 21 goals and supplied three assists in 55 competitive appearances during his first season in England.

His current lack of playing time has nevertheless altered the picture.

Gyökeres has made clear that he wants to feature more regularly, and reports have suggested that his representatives want to discuss his situation with Arsenal. The forward has remained involved with Sweden during the international period as he looks to maintain his place at the heart of the national team.

A move back to Serie A would represent another major change for a player whose career has developed rapidly in recent years. Gyökeres established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific forwards during his time with Sporting before Arsenal made him one of their major attacking additions.

Milan and Juventus are not the only clubs to have been linked with him, but the latest reports place the Italian pair among those continuing to monitor the situation.

For Arsenal, the reported £60 million figure would allow the club to recoup a significant portion of its original investment while avoiding a temporary arrangement that would leave the striker’s longer-term position unresolved.

Gyökeres’ contract runs until 2030, meaning Arsenal are under no immediate pressure to sell. The club can therefore decide whether his reduced role is a temporary consequence of competition for places or the beginning of a more permanent change in his status.

For now, the situation remains one to watch rather than an imminent transfer. Milan and Juventus know the price being reported, while Gyökeres will be hoping his next opportunities at Arsenal can change the conversation before January.
