AC Milan have identified Gabriel Jesus as a priority striker target for next season, with Arsenal understood to be willing to consider offers for the Brazilian forward who has entered the final year of his contract.

According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, AC Milan are pursuing Jesus as part of a broader summer rebuild under head coach Massimiliano Allegri, who held a lengthy meeting with the club's directors to discuss attacking reinforcements.

Jesus has appeared on Milan's wishlist on multiple occasions — including last summer and during the January window — but a deal never materialised. The club are now expected to make a more serious approach.

The 29-year-old's situation at Arsenal has changed considerably since the summer arrival of Viktor Gyökeres, who has taken the starting centre-forward position and forced Jesus further down the pecking order.

Kai Havertz has served as the second option for much of the campaign, leaving Jesus with only 25 appearances across all competitions and five goals to show for the season — a return that falls well short of what Mikel Arteta signed him from Manchester City to deliver.

Jesus joined Arsenal in 2022 for £45 million and his contract runs until June 2027. With one year remaining, this summer represents Arsenal's last realistic window to recoup meaningful transfer income rather than risk losing him for nothing. Reports indicate the club would listen to offers in the region of £30 million.

Juventus have also made enquiries, and Newcastle United are understood to be monitoring the situation. Milan, however, appear best placed given their need for a proven centre-forward and their long-standing interest in the player.
