The Arsenal goalkeeper, born in Barcelona in 1995, spoke to Spanish media at the club's Sobha Realty Training Centre in north London ahead of the PuskΓ‘s ArΓ©na showpiece, reflecting on a title he helped deliver 22 years after the club's last.
"Super happy. With the trajectory we've had, to finally achieve the Premier League makes me feel very proud β of this team, this club, the staff and the fans above all. It makes us all very happy."
He addressed the scale of what Arsenal's defensive record this season represents.
"Defensively we are very strong. We don't give the opposition much. There have been many matches where we barely conceded a chance, and that has helped us win the championship β which was what mattered. Nineteen clean sheets in 37 games tells you that."
On the individual honour of a third consecutive Golden Glove: "I am in a very, very good personal period. Not just personally, but the clean sheets we've kept are something collective. Super happy to achieve this record of three consecutive Golden Gloves β not many goalkeepers have managed that."
He paid tribute to manager Mikel Arteta whose methods underpin the defence.
"The work the manager has done is incredible. The way he took hold of the club when it wasn't at its best, and how he brought it back to life and to the top β above all by winning the Premier League that all of us and the fans had wanted so much β only speaks to the quality he has and the person he is. He never gives up, and that is a message he has always passed on to us."
Raya also spoke about a reunion of a different kind this weekend. PSG are managed by Luis Enrique β the coach who gave Raya his Spain debut.
"I know him closely. He was the one who gave me my international debut, and I have a lot of affection for him. We know he is a great, great, great manager and a great person. He always adjusts things to make it difficult for opponents β but we hope to win that battle and take the victory in the Champions League final."
Arsenal's set-piece threat has been identified by every club they have faced in the competition. Asked whether PSG goalkeepers are working specifically on defending Arsenal corners, Raya smiled: "I haven't seen anything, but everyone trains what they need to train. We know we are strong at set pieces and hopefully we can score one in the final."
On the accusation that Arsenal play defensively: "It might not be fair, but it is the way we play. We know that defending and keeping clean sheets helps us win matches. But we are also a very attacking team β we like to have the ball and play football, and we have our ways of scoring goals in different ways."
Raya also addressed his own World Cup ambitions. Spain coach Luis de la Fuente faces a genuinely competitive battle for the number one shirt between Raya and Athletic Club's Unai Simon.
"I try to play my football here and make things difficult for the coach. That is what I'm trying to do β give my maximum to make it hard for him."
A Premier League title and a third Golden Glove. One game remains.
